RE: jardineproducts.com - motorcycle part did not fix - unable to get refund
We ordered a motorcycle part that did not fit; we emailed before purchasing and it was guaranteed that the part was correct. We have all the emails and documentation. The company said, "We feel like our return policy is more liberal than most companies. If we ship you an item and a factory defect is discovered later (things happen), or if we ship you the wrong item (people make mistakes) we reimburse you the freight charges to get it back to us. We reimburse you the return shipping charges by issuing a store credit to be used on your next order." There was clearly either a defect that makes the items unable to be attached, or they are the wrong item. That cannot be disputed. The part did not fit once we got it. They tried to play games by saying the part was installed so can't be returned. We have not installed it-- because it cannot be -- and the package had to be opened to discover they were the wrong item. I do not want to return these because I changed my mind or want something else. I want to return these because they do not work, are defective, or the wrong item. I was informed by Jardine before I ordered these that they would fit. They don't. Failure to accept them back is really false advertising, at best, fraud at the worst. I've gone to the trouble of emailing, taking photos that they insisted on, trying every way to see how they would work. I can't afford to spend more time and effort on these. They are delaying the credit and being punitive.
You can see from the enclosed emails [not posted here] that the company has demanded we jump through hoops to get this refund and are just not crediting it at all.
