RE: 2000 Toyota Camry - 4 cy - engine blew at 84,000 miles
I have had several Toyotas in the past and all have gone well over 100,000 miles trouble free. I currently have a 2000 Toyota Camry, 4 cyl, with 84,000. To my surprise the other day the engine blew. According to my mechanic the connecting arm broke and I require a new engine. What? At 84,000 miles? You have to be kidding me. Apparently, search the net, I am not alone with this type of problem with Toyota. What will Toyota do for me? I paid over $20,000 for this thing and after only 3 years I need a new engine. This is not good public relations. Toyota better not tell me it's my fault cause it is not. Well Toyota?
