RE: AOL Travelers Advantage - $ 4 rebate check was acually enrollment into AOL Travelers Advantage I recently fell victim to AOL Travelers Advantage scam of depositing what I thought to be a $4.00 rebate check from AOL T. A. . The check turned out to be an apparent application for AOL Trav. Adv. if cashed or deposited. So I immediately contacted them telling them I wanted no part of they're service.
They preceded to offer me all kinds of actual nothng. To make a long story short it still cost me almost $20.00 because I " used some of the membership already" which is a false claim since I contacted them immediately. This is not the first negative encounter I have had with someone affiliated with AOL.
In my opinion they are the perfect example of a business operating at the very minimal level of legality. I will never do any business of any kind with them again, and I encourage others to do the same.
