RE: Vipul Motors service centre, Malviya nagar, Jaipur, India - took Maruti 800 DX car to get repaired after accident - did not give a bill detailing receipt charges Dear Maruti team,
This is regarding my experience with Vipul Motors service centre. I met with an accident in July 03 and sent my car for repairs to Vipul Motors service centre at Malviya nagar, Jaipur. The way the insurance claim was dealt by the personnels at Vipul was very impersonal and the manager did not bother to even give me the details of how they arrived at the magic figures of teh charges levied on me. I could not go to the service centre personally and had sent my brother.
They simply gave a "receipt" of Rs 2100 against the credit card used by my brother for payments. They did not even gave a bill against this receipt. I simply did not know how come the charges came to Rs 2100. The car was delivered after 7 days and they threatened that if I do not pick up my car immediately, they will levy Rs 100 per day as parking charges. Is this the way a customer is dealt who has bought a maruti car. As if the customer does not have any other work other than waiting for a short notice call from the dealer to pick up the car.
The saga did not end with this while returning back from the service centre, my brother had to return back to the service centre, as some nut of the gear box fell while on the way, to get it repaired again.
After a weeks time the padding on the front gate on the left side fell down as it was not fixed properly by the dealer. I was had to spend Rs 300 for buying a new one. Similarly, the dealer did not give matching black strip on the outside of the front gate on the pretext that I need to come some other time to fix it and my car looks odd without that.
After a months time, same nut of the gear box became loose and fell down and also now the oil leaks from it. After the bitter experience with Vipul service centre, I got it repaired with KP Automotives wherein it cost me additional Rs 230. Now again the problem of gear box has become a perpetual and recurring problem.
My car has done just 6000 kms and it is giving me trouble. It does not even reach its peak speed as it used to be earlier.
I am sick and tired of this dealer network at Jaipur who just fool the customers and do not treat them properly.
Kindly advise, what should I do.
