China Doll, Brookfield, WI - in Nov., 2002 told doll would be restored and ready for pickup in Spring, 2003 - picked up doll in Sept., 2003 as it wasn't yet finished

Complaints.com received the following on September 24, 2003:

RE: China Doll, Brookfield, WI - in Nov., 2002 told doll would be restored and ready for pickup in Spring, 2003 - picked up doll in Sept., 2003 as it wasn't yet finished Contracted on November 4, 2002 for a restoration of an antique doll. Verbal date for completion of this restoration was spring of 2003. Paid a $62.00 deposit for work. In June of 2003 called regarding progress of work. Was advised that all restoration work had a 12 month completion date.

Called on September 22 to find out progress of work. China Doll refuses to call back, advise when work will be completed. The will not refund deposit or issue a credit.

Since there was still no completion date given, picked up doll in same uncompleted state as it was in November of 2002, feeling that it may be another year before work is completed.

Doll in it's present condition is worth over $200.00 and decided to get doll before filing complaints.
