RE: Samsung Air Conditioner - remote control stopped working - hassle trying to get replacement remote

The remote of my airconditioner stopped working. Went to buy a new one from the market. It was a simple thing... But I was handed over a small leaflet by the dealer which read "Calling Samsung Service is as simple as 1 2 3 ... Call 9628112233. I thought, "Yes, that is the customer care!"

Rang up the Samsung Service on 8th September, 2003. Booked complaint (No. CDL-342909). Followed up for three days and ..the service engineer did visit our place to declare that the remote was not working! What next? He would inform about the availability / price of the remote next day...

And till today (23rd September, 2003), it is DAILY follow-up, with no outcome. Everyday, we are told that the compliant would be attended TODAY. And today never comes...................

It is as simple as 1 2 3 ....

I'm having a similar problem trying to get a remote controller replacement. My dealings were with ACWHOLESALERS. I appealed to their common sense that spending up to $50 to have a service technician validate the malfuntion is unreasonable, especially in my case where I have two Ductless AC's, both in warranty, and the single good remote works well on both units.
