RE: 2000 Dodge Intrepid - 53,000 miles and told by a dealer that the engine requires replacement at a cost of $ 7,000

My 2000 Dodge Intrepid has 53,000 miles on it. Carbone Dodge of Yorkville, NY told me that the engine is completely shot and needs to be replaced for $7,000.00. Last November I took it to Carbone and they replaced the cam shaft position sensor.

The check engine light kept coming on. On June of this year, the car kept stalling. The check engine light came on. I took it to Carbone Dodge and they told me I needed to replace the cam shaft position sensor. They did this no charge once I reminded them that they had previously replaced the sensor. On August 14, the car died and not even Dodge will send a representative to at least look at the vehicle. It is sitting in the dealers parking lot. I still owe almost $10,000 on it and do not get a response from the dealer or Dodge. Anyone got any suggestions? If so email me at . John Paoni
