RE: Pine Center Cleaners, 4644 Pine St., Riverside, CA - picked up jacket and it had a new stain on it I took my white blazer to Pine center cleaners at 4644 Pine St, Riverside CA 92501 to be cleaned and pressed on 081003. When I went to pick it up on 081503 with the rest of my clothes, the jacket had a yellowish gold stain on it. At that time the gentleman told me he don't know what happened to give him a week to try to clean it again. I went back 082203 and he said that give him another week but it look like hair spray. I advised him that I had short hair and I didn't use hair spray that would drip on my jacket like that. I explained to him how did the stain get in the front of the jacket.
The jacket looked burnt to me. Told me to leave the jacket again and pick it up 082903. Returned 082903 and his wife was there telling me to wait until the next day. I asked her what would change if I waited until the next day. She kept repeating that hair spray was on my jacket. I have short hair and my hair is french braided and there is no way I would walk around with spray dripping down my neck onto a jacket. She stated come back tomorrow and speak with her husband. I then told her I need to be reimbursed for paying for the cleaners bill and compensated for them destroying my jacket.
She started to say that the jacket was old. I told her that I made the jacket. I drove to Los Angeles to get this white fabric to make this suit because I am a deaconness at my church and we were participating in communion and I made the jacket a couple of months ago! She said come back tomorrow, at which time I took a picture of the jacket. The next day when I went back she told me that the jacket was my problem and not hers. I am very upset to say the least. I needed that jacket for the services at my church that weekend. The jacket is destroyed.
The upper portion of the jacket is stained with a yellowish brownish color like it has been burned on the front and the back. I would like to be reimbursed for the cleaning bill in which I paid to have the jacket cleaned and compensated to get more fabric to make me another jacket. As a result, if I don't find that same fabric (crepe back satin), I will have to make a whole different suit. Please help me be compensated. Please hold them responsible for what they have done. I need to get the film developed for the jacket or will be glad to mail the jacket to you to investigate.
