Fry's Electronics - paid for new Sony monitor - received used Dell monitor - upset with service

To Whom It May Concern: This is a short note. I purchased a monitor from Fry’s electronics….. I bought a Sonie monitor with a $40.oo rebate..for Grand daughter… I went out of town for two weeks and when I came back my daughter told me that monitor was real dark and hard to see. I checked out this monitor and it was yellowed… a USED monitor. I then checked the receipts and it does show a refurbished monitor a DELL ???? I did not buy a Dell monitor… This is FRAUD…. When I picked out the monitor I wanted The sales person went in the back & got the monitor and HE took it up to the front cashier….. I paid for it and NEVER did see the box…..When we went to put it into my car it did not fit… The guy took it out of the box and placed the monitor into my front seat. I took it home!!!! I did not check my receipts & why would I think anything about it…..Until my daughter told me that monitor didn’t look NEW and it wasn’t working properly???? I called Fry’s and the person told me to come into the store to the customer service……They WOULD not listen to me and basically called me a LIAR….I DO know what I BOUGHT !!!!! They are taking avantage of people and tricking them into getting rid of their old crap.. This is not acceptable !!! It is not the money I spent on this monitor IT IS THE WAY PRINCIPLE OF THEIR FRAUDULENT practices…… I also did not receive the rebate !!!! What rip offs… Phnx, AZ. 85051
