RE: WorldCom Wireless - unable to use phone for roaming without using credit card number - replacement phone also didn't work correctly I signed a contract in March '02 with WorldCom in which they were to provide me with a wireless phone that would worked and in their advertisement they stated that the roaming calls were as easy as dialing the number + the send button.

Their system never worked and the only way I could dial out from a roaming situation was to charge the call to my own VISA card.

They told me that my phone had the wrong settings and when I send the phone back to them they send me a second phone, which also did not work.

In my opinion, they are putting out false advertisement to the consumer public about roaming calls when using their system and they are trying to collect deactivation fees for a contract in which they did not honor.

The digital wireless phone was a Motorola Model V2390/97.
