Complaints.com received the following consumer message on September 3, 2002:

RE: Goody headbands - trouble with broken headbands
I purchased a goody head band in Texas in January and wore it until July 26 when I came home to NY and gave it away.
Since I have een on which was July 26 I purchased another goody head band which lasted me approximately 2 weeks when it broke.
I purchased a double set of head bands and again one of them broke in approximately 2 weeks. I must also say that I did not wear these headbands every day. The one I purchased in Texas I did wear everyday.
We live on a limited income, even though these headbands are not expensive I feel the ones that I bought in NY must be seconds or something that they break after a couple of times wearing these.
I would appreciate a replacement for the two that have broken. They were the brown ones, one plain the other with the comb.
