RE: 2002 Nissan Sentra - problem with factory paint - stains due to wrapping used to protect car for shipping - no help from Nissan Canada complaint department Bought a 2002 Nissan Sentra at Sunridge Nissan Dealer with many options including paint protection. A short while later while washing car noticed stain on the hood and informed the dealer. More stains appeared.

Took the car in and was told by the service manager Brett Bishop it was because of the wrapping used to protect the care for shipping. Just park it in the sun and it would disappear. It did not.

Then the same type of stains appeared on the trunk. We were told that it may have been windshield fluid used to clean the car after painting or something got spilt on the car. Now these theories do not help me any.

The bottom line is the car should be recalled since this problem with the paint was at the factory. The sales manager Bob Pendock stated that the car needed to be stripped and repainted but both Brett Bishop and Bob Pendock said that the repainting would not be as good as the original. BOB Pendock said they would buy back the car for $17.000.

That is not good enough when we paid 25,838.39. My husband phoned The Nissan Canada Complaint Dept. 1-800-387-0122 contact person Thresa local 461 and told her of the problem and got no recourse.

She was not interested in our problem as we paid cash so we can not hold back payments. We were told by a lawyer at the Kerby Centre to contact you. Thank you for any assistance you can offer. Sincerely Alice Rideout
