Multistate Transmissions, South Holland, IL - transmission repair resulted in other new problems

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on September 28, 2002:

RE: Multistate Transmissions, South Holland, IL - transmission repair resulted in other new problems I am writing to you because of a problem I have with a multistate transimissions of South Holland, Il. They were to fix a trasmission problem in our car. We went there and paid for the services, because he stated the car would be ready to be picked up at 4.

So, we took care of the bill and then were told the car was not ready. They gave us a rent a car and stated the car would be done asap.. you see one their mechanics, messed up the car and they had no idea what he had done. Well to make a long story short, 3 days later we were told the car was ready again..

We went there picked it up drove it home only to find other problems with the car caused by them.. the lights were no not functioning, so we called were told to make a list of what was wrong bring it in the next morning.. we did this, and then what happened was even worse , not only did they not fix what was wrong they made it worse..

I then called and asked that our credit card be credited for the amount we paid until the car was properly fixed and I was told that this would not be done.. I was told to bring the car back in yet again..

I am at wits end with this dealer and want some restitution made, they have done nothing, we saw another mechanic showed him the bill and was told there was no way the work they said they did was performed..

Please can you help me in any way.. I have been taken by a well known franchise and need some help in resolving this matter..
