RE: 2001 Pontiac Grand Am - problems with hard starting since first day of purchase - 7 failed attempts to fix
I bought a new 2001 Grand Am in June of 2001. I've had problems with a hard start since the day I bought it. (It sounds like during the winter when it's really cold and some cars start really hard). I've had it into the dealer for repairs 7 times for this problem.
They can't recreate the problem so it never gets fixed. I called GM because it's such a problem, but they said if it cannot be recreated, there's nothing they can do.
I also had it in twice for oil leaks (there was a puddle under the car when they moved it off the showroom. The sales agent told us it was from the previous car they had parked there), 3 times for the brakes and twice for the AC.
Have you heard of anything like this before?
Thanks, Barb
