Emeril's At Universal in Orlando, FL - drinks for refills were charged as extra - slow service

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on September 15, 2002:

On the weekend of Labor Day, 2002, I had the thrill of going to Emeril's at Universal in Orlando. Having played all day at the parks with my family, we decided to just do desert at Emeril's. There were 2 adults and 2 teens in our party. We were told we could just go to the bar for desert and not have to wait. That was not a problem.

We were just excited about being able to say we ate at Emeril's. We had no problem with the prices of the deserts or drinks that were ordered. But, was very surprised to find that the teens' drinks for refills were charged on our bill as extra.

I would not have had a problem with that if when we wanted refills we would have been able to get them within a timely manner. I know this seems like a small complaint but, it does bother me.

Hopefully I can get some type of response to the situation.
