Voicenet, Inc. - charged for Internet voice email - never requested this service

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on September 12, 2002:

I received a bill form Voicenet on my Southwestern Bell telephone bill charging me for internet voice email. They said that somebody filled out the on-line application. I told them that nobody filled it out and requested to see the application. They told me to fax my request tech support.

I faxed it to them. I have called them and faxed my request several times. I have alos asked to talk to anybody in tech-support. All I get is that tech support does not take phone calls and they are working on it and that I will just have to wait.

I did a little research on them and the state of Illinois is in the process of suing them.
