I was charged the $16.00 per month which is still advertised on their web site. I also was charged another $10.00 every month for an additional email account that I never even set up. I learned yesterday that the additional account is advertised at $5.00 per month on their site so not only was I paying for something I never used but I was also being overcharged for it for 5 years. So I wouldn't have to write them a check every month, I told them to bill me every 6 months in advance. So twice a year I got a bill from them for 6 months at $26.00/month for a total of $156.00. I paid this twice a year without comparing prices as I was happy with their service in the beginning. During the last year with Netdor, their service took a serious turn for the worse. I was dealing with constant busy signals and when I would finally connect I would usually be disconnected soon afterwards. I was also not getting some of my email. In July of this year, they went down again. I called and was told that it would be back up in 2 hours. The next day they were still down and I again was told it would be 2 hours. I was given the same story with 3 more phone calls over the following 2 days. After 4 days I decided to dump Netdor and finally get a new ISP. I called to close my account with them on 8/1/01 and was informed that they would not do it over the phone but only by email. I then did as they asked and I got an email from them that same day stating that "Your refund will be on the mail soon" (spelling by Netdor). The refund never came so on 9/17 I sent them another email asking the status. I called on 9/24 to see what their story was now and they informed me that I was getting a discount all these years and that I should have been charged $18.00 a month versus $16.00!! When I told them that they were wrong I was put on hold indefinitely. I then called back and was given to a guy who would only identify himself as "Joe". Joe rambled on again about how I was undercharged. When I told him he was wrong, he promptly hung up on me. I again called back and demanded to speak to the owner, Abed, but was told by Joe that "you are not speaking to anybody" and that "Abed doesn't handle this type of problem" and was hung up on once again. I again called back and then was simply put on hold again. I sent "Joe" two emails but they were ignored. I wasn't even trying to get the money back that I was overcharged. I simply wanted to get the $26.00 per month back that I have paid in advance for the months I am not using but they refuse to refund it. Netdor is, without a doubt, the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.
