Money, Banks - First USA Bank, Robbinsdale bank couldn't make requested denominations

Date: Saturday, September 01, 2001 07:52 PM On 8-31-01 I withdrew several hundred dollars in cash for my savings account in preparation for a forthcoming trip. Some of the money was for Travelers Checks that were to be obtained from AAA and also for cash that I wanted to take with. When I asked for the cash, half in $100's and the other half in $50's I was told that the bank was out of those denominations and given the total amount in a large stack of $20's. Question- how can a bank be out of money? Or is it that you just do not care ?
