_____________________ Frank Parra Jeep in the Dallas area, sold my wife and I a 2001 Jeep Wrangler in May of 2001. It was already equiped with 33" inch tires, a 2" lift kit, and an aux lighting bar when we saw it at the dealership. Being somewhat naive of such extravagant "extras", we were thrilled when we pulled off the lot in our brand new jeep. That would be the last time we would be "thrilled" about this purchase.

Besides the fact that the dealership mercilessly (and under HIGH pressure I might add) charged us an amount for this jeep so great that no one would even consider refinancing it without $10,000 down (which I will also add this is what Mr. Parra calls "a great Parra price"), we discovered other things later that make us question the integrity of the dealership. For those of you who don't know, and I assure you I didn't, if you add 33" tires to a Jeep Wrangler, when your speedometer says you are going 60mph, you are actually traveling at a rate of 70mph. Apparantly the sales team at Frank Parra Jeep already know this.

When I spoke to Christian Pritt, Jeep Sales Manager, this afternoon his basic response was "I know and I don't care". Furthermore, Frank Parra contracts any modifications like the ones mentioned above with someone not affiliated with the dealership. What I found upon recent inspection of the installation of those options, is truly disturbing. One of the bolts holding my windshield on the vehicle had been crossthreaded and not tightened down. It was sticking out about 3/4".

I had never noticed it before because it is conveniently hidden behind the sun visor on the passenger side of the vehicle. Now my Jeep is in the Frank Parra service bay with a $3000 repair of an axle. At first it was "twisted", now it's just "bent". Since there has been no abuse to the Jeep by any means, I am now curious as to whether or not the "highly competent" people Frank Parra contracts out it's options to, are the ones responsible for the need for this repair.

My total buying experience, combined with the non-chalant, indifferent, and money driven Sales Manager at Frank Parra have driven me to vow to NEVER make a purchase from a Frank Parra dealership again. I will also go further. I will recommend to anyone looking to buy a Jeep...... go where my Dad went.... go to El Dorado in McKinney.

They seem to treat people like people, not just revenue.

I might also add...... knowingly selling a vehicle with an inaccurate odometer...... would that be considered Odometer Fraud?
