I received a package containing a Sony laptop computer from them on March 15, 2001. Problem was I never ordered it. I called their customer service number and the rep proceeded to tell me that there is no returns allowed on any computers. She also told me the computer was ordered on my American Express card. I had my card in my possesion, someone must have gotten my number. The invoice on the package had my name, only some of my address, and a phone number I had never seen before. After calling the number, I found out it was a nonworking number for BearStern brokerage house. I explained this to ther customer service rep to no avail.

American Express has suspended my account until I pay the bill. They told me it is my responsibilty to resolve this matter, not theirs, and have demanded payment. Also on this day I recieved two other packages which I did not order but successfully returned. I explained to American Express that it would take me over a year to put the alleged amount of money($4,000) on the credit card and that it was for business only. I asked them why I would not recieve a phone call to make sure I was making $4,000 worth of purchases, if the largest purchase I ever had was $400. Once again no answer.

I sent a certified letter to both the founder/owner of PC Mall, and the head of American Express Customer Service. No response from either of them. Now I most likely have to take them to court because of their lousy policy on returning products.
