Date: Sunday, September 09, 2001 07:42 PM 9 months ago i purchased a compaq pressario laptop to use while working on my networking degree. One evening i closed the lappy and went to sleep. The next morning i woke up early to finish a homework assignment and discovered a cracked screen.

I contacted compaq and sent them the computer to be fixed UNDER WARRANTEE. They cannot give me an explaination as to what caused the damage but they still refused to repair it. They offered to replace it for $680 dollars. I only paid $900 for the lappy.

I highly recomend avoiding compaq computers at all costs, unless you can afford to purchase a new computer every 10 months...they will not honor their warrantee.DO NOT BUY COMPAQ!
