RE: Overstock.com - purchased DVD and paid via PayPal - order incorrectly cancelled by Overstock.com for non-payment - no reply from Overstock.com to e-mails I ordered a DVD from OVERSTOCK.COM paying for the purchase with PAYPAL. I received a confirmation e-mail of the order from OVERSTOCK.COM. I received a paid confirmation from PAYPAL for the purchase. I then received a confirmation of payment from OVERSTOCK.COM, followed by a cancellation email from OVERSTOCK.COM for non-payment?
I e-mailed them and received no response, so I contacted PAYPAL and reported the incident. I then received an e-mail from OVERSTOCK.COM saying they had corrected the cancellation with the excuse of "didn't know why it happened" and assured me my BOOK had been shipped. BOOK?
I ordered a DVD, so I sent them another e-mail and they reply that hey had indeed shipped a DVD? SO, now not believing anything, I checked on the shipment. It was shipped to the billing address instead of the personal address requested. I have sent 2 subsequent e-mails having resulted in NO REPLIES.
I would not ever do business with this operation again, nor would I recommend anyone with an expectation of receiving what they ordered, or it getting to where you requested. Their most egregious business tenet is their refusal to answer e-mails, unless coerced by PAYPAL. pete dillon
