AOL - 6 months free trial with Dell Computer purchase - when billing began, got billed $ 28.90 three and four times in one month

RE: AOL - 6 months free trial with Dell Computer purchase - when billing began, got billed $ 28.90 three and four times in one month In December of 2002, I purchased a Dell computer with 6 months free AOL service. When the six months was up they were to start deducting $28.90 month for 3 email accounts. Well come to find out they have been deducting $28.90 3 times a month and in the month of July deducted 4 payments. Unfortunately we just caught the mistake on our September checking account statement.

When I called AOL I was told that I requested 3 accounts. Noone in my family ever requested any different accounts then what we already. When I called my bank I was told I was not the 1st person this has happened. Sounds like to me someone needs to check into the way AOL runs their business.

Thank god that every month I had enough money in my checking account to cover this and that they did not cause any checks to bounce. Needless to say I have cancelled my account and will advise any and everybody that I know to never use AOL. Thank you for your time, Toni Aprin
