Below is a copy of a letter I sent to a magazine and to the N.C.A.C.:
ArtNews 48 West 38th Street New York, New York 10018 To Whom It may Concern, Several months ago (more like 6 months ago) I received an offer to try a free issue of ArtNews. I sent a card in but never received a magazine. I did, however receive several bills for a subscription, which I promptly discarded. Today I received a collection notice for my "subscription" from the National Credit Audit Corporation. Please be advised that I am not a subscriber and have no intention of paying anybody the $19.98. I looked on the web for the National Credit Audit Corp. and immediately found a slew of complaints from people having experienced something similar - collection notices for subscriptions they never ordered or received. Please do not bother me anymore. Also, I suggest you stop having anything to do with the apparently sleazy Nation Credit Audit Corp. I see they are being sued by a number of entities. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
