WAL-MART, TROUTDALE OR, AUGUST-2003: MY DAUGHTER'S FATHER ORDERED A SCHOOL RING FROM WAL-MART FOR HER AS A PRESENT FOR HER SENIOR YEAR, PRICE: $269.00 - WHEN IT ARRIVED, IT WAS NOT LIKE THE RING IN THE SHOWCASE - IT WAS INFERIOR -

 

THE STAMPING ON THE RING WAS NOT CLEAR, AND WHEN I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THIS TO THE CLERK, SHE ACTED LIKE SHE DID NOT UNDERSTAND ME. I LEFT THE RING, THE NEXT DAY, LYNDELL CALLED ME AND TOLD ME SHE WOULD RETURN IT TO THE MANUFACTURER - I WAS TOLD THAT THE FINE JEWELRY DEPARTMENT HAD NEW PEOPLE AND THEY WERE HAVING TRAINING PROBLEMS. SEPTEMBER-2003: I TRIED TO CALL THE FINE JEWELRY DEPARTMENT AT WAL-MART - TROUTDALE OR - I MISSED LYNDELL - I LEAVE MESSAGES FOR HER TO CALL ME BUT I FEEL LIKE THE CLERKS ARE NOT LEAVING THE MESSAGES FOR HER. OCTOBER-2003: I CALLED WAL-MART TODAY, BARBARA, FINE JEWELRY STATES THAT LYNDELL IS NOT WORKING UNTIL THE EVENING - I ASK TO SPEAK TO THE STORE MANAGER, I AM CALLING LONG DISTANCE, I AM PUT ON HOLD FOR TEN MINUTES. I HANG UP AND CALL BACK, I REQUEST TO SPEAK TO THE STORE MANAGER - A MAN ANSWERS THE PHONE, "CAN I HELP YOU?" -

 

HE DOES NOT IDENTIFY HIMSELF, HE ASKS ME ABOUT MY PROBLEM, I TELL HIM, HE STATES HE NEEDS TO TALK TO "WANDA", TELLS ME HE'S PUTTING ME ON HOLD, AND THEN THE PHONE STARTS RINGING AND I'M TRANSFERRED BACK TO THE FINE JEWELRY DEPARTMENT.

 

BARBARA STATES THAT SHE WILL CALL ME BACK ABOUT THE RING THIS AFTERNOON - I HAVE BEEN PASSED AROUND TO THE POINT WHERE I AM TIRED OF EXPLAINING MY PROBLEM TO THE WAL-MART PERSONNEL!

 

MY DAUGHTER IS VERY FRUSTRATED WITH WAL-MART! WE DON'T KNOW IF WE SHOULD ORDER A RING FROM SOMEONE ELSE AT THIS POINT AS WE CAN NOT SEEM TO GET A HOLD OF WAL-MART MANAGEMENT TO DISCUSS THIS.
