In Mar 2003 we purchased carpet and flooring from Discount Carpets in San Marcos, CA. We were required to pay 50% down with the balance payable upon satisfactory completion of the installation.

The carpet was installed and we had to have them return twice to correct the stairs in the formal living room then we had to wait for them to order the correct material to install the wood flooring in the entrance.

We had 2 men tear out the marble tile and install the flooring They did not level the floor and they took out the stair rails but did not finish installing them back in and asked for the check. We refused.

We asked them to notify the owner that he needed to come see the job and fix it as they said this was the best they could do. The owner, Bob, called us and yelled and insulted us and threatened us.

He then sent someone out 3 weeks later. The job was completed shabbily but we paid as we were being threatened and harrassed by the owner. The floor has since fallen apart, the rails have come off and the entrance is cracked and the moding is cracked. Bob has repeatedly told us that we would have the floor fixed yet it has been 6 weeks of him forgetting to order material, installers in jail, we got a good deal what is our problem. etc etc. He now says it will be next week again. This flooring has a lifetime warranty.

We live in a custom built home that now looks poorly when you open our front door!!! Connie Fuimaono
