RE: Mazda 626 - transmission locked up twice - once at 47,000 miles - once at 88,000 miles

In July of 97 I bought my Mazda 625 with 5k miles on it, in a 36 month span, we put approximately 42k miles on the car.

The transmission locked up on our well maintained car and Mazda didn't want to talk about it. After a few phone calls, they agreed to replace the transmission if it wasn't my fault that it locked up. So, in good faith on Mazda's behalf, they did.

I was only out $125.00 for the towing service. Now, with a "new" transmission and only 41k miles, the same thing has happened. I contacted Mazda about the problem and they let me know that it wasn't their problem, it was mine.

It's a shame that this corporation WILL NOT stand behind their products. I will never again purchase a Mazda vehicle.
