On October 19, I completed on line transaction and ordered one-way rental track and equipment for pickup on 10/27/2003 from the area of BROOKLYN, NY to INWOOD, NY. I received email confirmation of my order from GEORGE M, Brooklyn Marketing Company President. This email informed us "that one of our moving experts will be contacting you the day prior to your move to schedule your exact pick-up location and time". Unfortunately, we did not receive any calls.
When I called myself on 10/26/2003 at 5 pm, I was told that someone would call me back. We did not receive any call back and called ourselves at 7 pm. At this point, we were told that local office is closed and we have to wait until tomorrow.
On 10/27/2003, we waited until 11 am for any phone calls from UHall. We placed numerous phone calls into local office, directly to GEORGE M, and UHall customer service. We received "I am not sure" answers, hang-ups, and "He will not be available today" replies.
My wife and myself took a day off to make this move. We also had to pay cancellation fee to our moving guys. I find this kind of "service" is nacceptable. We immediately cancelled our reservation for November 2. Moving is a very stressful time for any family. In our experience, moving with UHall is an impossible task to accomplish.
