RE: i-cruise.com - called after booked cruise online and told list price in error and cruise booking was being cancelled Booked cruise online 3 Oct 03 at advertised price on company's web site,

www2.i-cruise.com

Was called by Debbie Donovan, Sales Manager, within 30 minutes of booking. Was told the listed price was in error & my cruise booking was being cancelled. Told Debbie I had a confirmation email and web billing statement & we had a legal contract. She disagreed & stated again she was canceling my booking. I objected again. Cruise tracking number that I was given was cancelled from web site.

Received first of several emails from Debbie on 3 Oct stating the above & that I was offered a discount off the correct price but I refused. I replied that I refused because I thought we had a legal contract since their site accepted my credit card number & sent me a confirmation statement stating the price I was charged on my credit card. Several emails back and forth same day with Debbie.

Finally I asked for name, number and email address of her boss. She refused, stating she was the sales manager & had final authority in this matter. I told her in another email that unless she owned the company or was the CEO, I still wanted the info. She did not respond to my last email. She earlier accused me of trying to get something for free. I have the emails cited above.

Next I sent email to Email User on 7 Oct asking for CEO info. No response. Sent email again on 8 Oct. No response. On 8 Oct, when I checked my credit card account online, noticed I had been charged $458 (vice $471.50) by Celebrity Cruise Line. I called Celebrity about charge & was told I need to correct through booking company.

Next I started searching for name of CEO on the web. Found him to be Alex Aliksanyan, but no other info. Found Executive Office telephone number (888-909-6242) on web and called 8:30AM, 10 Oct. Left message to return call. Waited all day Friday, 10 Oct. No call received.

Bottom line: Booked cruise, whom my wife and I were ecstatic over, only to be told the low advertised price (which is all the time) was in error (we were devastated) & it was cancelled over my very strong objection. And I have been charged for the cruise ($458), which I can't get taken off my credit card account right now since the company won't respond to my emails or phone call.
