RE: Aetna - denied MRI - told it is too expensive I have seen a Neurologist because Aetna said I had to before I could get a MRI for a herniated disk. I not only seen the doctor but I also had a Nerve conduction done and he found the spot. I was put off work because my leg is swelling along with my back and hip, I have a problem walking. I have now been denied the MRI and I guess I just keep the pain and live with it. They say it's too expensive.
