Pick-A-Bone Salon, 6 Mile Rd., Livonia, MI - rude treatment experience - cancelled order and left

On Sunday 10/05/03 I arrived at the Pick-A-Bone Salon on 6 Mile between Merriman Road and Middlebelt 313-387-3825 (name of Restaurant in Livonia) where a party for my son's 30th birthday was planned for 5 PM. The restaurant was ready to receive the party. Due to several of the family members running late the family decided to order appetizers and drinks. Our waitress was excellent.

Approximately 6:00 PM: While sitting there a gentleman came up to my table and grabbed my purse and tossed it onto another table grabbed the small table that adjoined my table and went to the end and rammed the long table against my table. I set there for a moment in amazement and then I ask "sir is there a problem"? He replied he had another large party coming in and he needed the table.

I then ask "well couldn't you have just ask me to move my purse"? He replied what different did it make? My son then stood and told him he should not have done this and this was unacceptable actions. At this point I told the waitress to cancel my order; because I wasn't going to eat and the waitress replied I never put the group's order in" (keep in mind we had ordered 30 minutes early, so why wasn't the order in)?

The gentleman that said he was the manager/owner said "you can just leave we don't have to serve you". The man then said he was calling the police (why I am not really sure) because still at this point it wasn't ugly yet. I ask for the manager and he replied "I am the manager and owner so what are you going to do call the manger on the dam owner?"

At this point there were several not so nice words exchanges between the manager/owner and different members in our party. I was ready to leave. Before leaving the restaurant our waitress came up to the table and apologized several times and I ask her was he really the manager/owner and she replied "Yes".

Our family stood to leave but before leaving we still wanted to and did give our waitress a nice tip, because like I said she was excellent. The food order didn't get put in, but I feel this was due to her own decision, but under the orders of another. When leaving the restaurant another customer sitting eating replied "you guy need to get out of here anyway, you don't belong here!" This is my complaint:

* 1st the manager/owner putting his hands on my personal property

* 2nd the grabbing and ramming of the tables

* 3rd being treated very rudely

* 4th finding out after placing our food order the order still had not been put in

* 5th comments "you guys don't belong here"

I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED THE FOOD, SERVICE AND PRICES!

I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM! THE FOOD, SERVICE AND PRICES ARE GREAT! j
