R Us gift registry - Babies R Us - Toys R us - unable to use gift card to make purchase via phone

After using the "R Us" registry for the birth of our first child we chose to use it a second time. We had no problem returning or exchanging merchandise and I thought the same would occur this time.

I live nearly 1.5 hours from a Babies R Us and 1 hour from a Toys R us. My grandmother tried to purchase our car seat on line and had so many problems she had to call them to get the order right. The order was still shipped and billed incorrectly.

My mother purchased a pricey breast pump on line which not to be ungrateful just wasn't what I wanted. I took the car seat, breast pump, and milk collection bags back to the nearest Toys R us thinking that they had a good selection and I would be able to get a product from that store. I received store credit for my items, nearly 400.00 worth.

I exchanged my car seat, and looked for my pump, they didn't have the particular model I wanted. I figured I could use my R US card on a phone purchase and could not. I am not driving nearly 2 hours to a Babies R Us. Neither Toys R Us or Babies R Us will do a transfer of the product.

I am now stuck will a gift card for nearly 300.00, no pump, and did I mention every month the card sits it takes away money off the card!

Take my advice shop at KB for toys and some where else for the baby items you need.
