30 September 2003 Summary: I have been victimized by Cox Communications of Northern Virginia in a way that, in my judgment, constitutes criminal activity. At a minimum, it constitutes such a total absence of honesty and integrity, and such contempt for its customers, as to make Cox Communications unfit to be licensed to do business in Virginia. Cox's own incompetence and lack of service has frustrated my attempt to return equipment to them (full details below).
Yet, Cox sent this matter to a collection service even after I talked to Cox's representative and agreed to take the trouble to mail the items to Cox via their approved method. This matter requires, first, restitution to me (see last para. of this letter) and, second, legislation to prevent other Virginia citizens from suffering such victimization.
