Brief Description:

Engine oil leaks

Comments:

---------

I have 2 oil leaks in my vehicle. It's a 1997 Plymouth with 61000 miles. The servicing dealer says gaskets need replacing: one on the upperpart of the engine for $800, the other around the oil pan for $240. I has a 1987 Voyager that never had gaskets that cost over $1000 to replace. Is this typical for a car with this mileage and year? I've had the car regularly serviced at this authorized dealer since I purchased it. I don't understand how a car with this amount of authorized care has gasket repair that exceeds $1000.
