Magic Chef electric food dehydrator - purchased just over 1 year ago - dosn't heat up like it should on third attempted use

I bought a Magic chef dehydrator a year or so ago and getting ready to use it for the third time, but now it doesn't heat up like it should. I have been looking in the stores for the same brand and haven't had any luck.

I store it in the box when it's not being used, but I would like a different one and need some help in tracking another one down. If there is something that I can do to get it to work, I will try anything. Please contact me about this as soon as possible.
