I've been a customer of Sears for over twenty-five years. How dare they impose an unwanted credit card upon me and have the nerve to imply that I should read every piece of junk mail they puke out.
These uninformed marketing geniuses have the audacity to assume a junk mail letter, (That you probably will not read.) when not responded to will result in the issuance of a Master Card, from no where else but Sears National Bank. The real cute part is that without activating this card my account was shifted to the Master Card from a revolving Sears card. What is the point of activation? The customer service rep. finally achieved after 5 minutes of press # for what ever, was totally amazed when I closed my account. My wish is that others will do the same. The reasons to shop Sears years ago have got up and went.
Once upon a time they gave a damn about the customer. That thinking is gone with things like quality and reliability. Try returning a broken craftsman tool for replacement without an extended warranty. This was once a common practice, no questions asked. Of course they did not break very often.
