Maytag Performa dryer - rattling noise inside near the rear - replacement dryer has same noise

I just purchased a Maytag Perfoma dryer. The first time it was powered on it rattled inside near the rear. I returned it to Lowes for the same model, brought it home, carefully installed it and guess what, it rattles! so much for Maytag quality.

I'm having the "never busy" Maytag repairman come out to take a look before I endure the hassle of returning to Lowes again.

Our Kenmore Washer is 18 years old and I've never placed a service call. Our Kenmore dryer lasted 18 years. I've learned one thing, stick with Kenmore and foget Maytag!! I will never purchase a Maytag anything again!!
