I placed an order for a used / rebuilt transmission through a company several weeks ago.
The company being WOODFIN'S USED AUTO PARTS 12910 Genito Road Midlothian, VA 23113 888-883-4466 I waited for a couple of weeks before I could even get any information concerning the order I had placed, in spite of my numerous calls and emails inquiring about delivery.
When I finally did get in touch with someone...he advised me that the price of the part was $400 more than when I initially placed the order. He informed me of this "after" they had withdrawn the amount of the original sale from my checking account. Their customer service and way of business is very frustrating if not helpful at all. I was in desperate (and still am) need of this part in order to get my car running...they gave me the run around and then tried to deceive me with a $400 increase in price after the agreement was made and the funds withdrawn from my account.
This business practice is very unorthidoxed and I feel that anyone doing business with this company should be very cautious and check with them regularly. Bug them if you have to, as they don't return calls or respond otherwise to me.
