Tanning Studio, Kool Rayz, Brewer Maine didn't honor free visit offer

Complaints.com received the following e-message on October 21, 2001:

RE: Kool Rayz Tanning Studio, Brewer Maine I first purchased a single visit for a fee of $6.00 on 10/13/01, and was told that the first visit purchase gets a second visit free. I used the first visit while there on 10/13/01. I returned on 10/20/01 to use 2nd (free) visit, and after service, was told that I had already used this visit on 10/15/01 when I had only been in that first time on 10/13/01.

I was then publicly accused of theft of services. I was actually with my husband during my supposed 2nd visit on 10/15/01, and as he is a local police officer with jurisdiction that includes the town Kool Rayz is in, is a pretty good indication that I was not at Kool Rayz at the date and time they said I was there. Public defamation of character is not something to be taken lightly, and accusation of theft of services that are blatantly untrue is a very poor business procedure.

The young woman at the desk actually said she was working that day and had personally seen me, which of course is impossible. I actually did pay another $6.00 for the 'free' visit (of course I shouldn't have), but my primary concern is the dishonesty of this business, fraud, false accusation and public defamation of character.
