Date: Friday, October 19, 2001 11:43 AM Back in May of 2001 when I cancelled my plan, Cingular has told me that I would have to wait 2 more months before they can refund my deposit. I've waited and after receiving two consecutive billing statements stating "final statement" and "revised final statement", I called in and instructed Customer rep. to refund my deposit. Since my deposit was charged by the credit card initially, I specifically told the rep. to send a check to my mailing address as I've cancelled that credit card a year ago.

Few weeks later, I received a check for few dollars instead of $200, I called in August of 2001 and found that they've credited to my credit card in spite of my specific insturction. They told me that they will investigate and instructed to call back two weeks later. Since then, I called beginning of September, and end of September. When I called in last time (end of September) I've requested them to talk to the investigation dept. but they claimed that they do not have a phone number to call other than e-mail.

I asked to speak to the supervisor, and when I spoke with him, he told me that their policy has changed and that Cingular started to issue checks for deposits but since I've requsted prior to their policy change, there nothing Cingular can do other than wait for response from their investigation dept. He told me that I don't have to call in but they'll call me back to inform the status by beginning of October. Already 20 days past, and I still haven't received any calls from Cingular nor got my check yet.

They're keep telling me to wait while they do not show any effort to resolve this matter as quickly possible in spite of my several complaint calls. They should improve their service soon otherwise, they will lose many customers to other competitors.
