Date: Friday, October 19, 2001 09:32 AM I have a family of squirrels residing in my attic. I unfortunately contacted a company by the name of "Trapper John". Their main office is in Florida (which I didn't know when I contacted them because they they were listed in my yellow pages with a New Orleans address) and they have a person in my(N.O.)area who is supposed to handle their business.

This person came to my house on September 4th and I signed a contract which stated that the squirrels would be removed in 14 days and I was required to pay $295 up front. It is now October 19th, I still have squirrels in my attic and the manager? in the Florida office is not returning my calls.

Their person located in my area has done very little since I signed the contract and he has not been to my house in at least 2 weeks. It looks like I get to keep the squirrels and they get to keep my money.

Now, seven years later, there is a trapper in New Orleans who goes by the name of Trapper John. He does not ask for money up front (and is nowhere near as expensive as the person wrote above.) He has been featured many times in the local media (Times Picayune, radio, etc) and even had five minutes of fame on CNN for trapping hogs in City Park. He has a website, www.trapperjohnschmidt.com which lists many of the animals and jobs he has completed for both government agencies and private individuals.
