Services, Dating - uDate.com unable to avoid recurring montly billing

Complaints.com received the following e-message on October 17, 2001:

RE: avoid the udate.com service Udate.com is a website for finding and meeting people who match your personal requirements. I signed up last July for a one month option. However, the one month option is really reoccuring billing for subsequent

months. I did not notice the additional $25 charges for two subsequent months until this fall. Udate, which lists no phone number or address, refuses to refund the $50 charged beyond my one month option. Buyer beware! These sites make their month on reoccuring billing which may be in fine print somewhere, but not near the "one month" button, I assure you. Stephen Guy
