Moving Services, Lee's Moving & Storage, Boca Raton trouble with service
DO NOT USE Lee's Moving & Storage Boca Raton Moving Services, Other From: Date: Tuesday, October 09, 2001 01:31 PM Sent To: Email User 10/9/01 1:31:34 PM This is being posted on behalf of my future mother in law - Harriet Jacovitz who contracted with Lee's Moving for a move that took place back in December/2000 and for a claim that was filed in January. Now they claim they need new forms filled out as they have a new insurer. Harriet's Complaint PLEASE NOTE: This company's own claim's email address advertised on its literature does not work. This company claims to be a member of American Red Ball. Kathy McDonald of American Red Ball (Email User) advised us of the following: "I CAN ONLY ASSUME FROM THE INFORMATION I RECEIVED IN YOUR E-MAIL THAT THE MOVE WAS PERFORMED BY LEE'S MOVING & STORAGE IN BOCA RATON AND WAS A LOCAL MOVE. THIS AGENT WAS TERMINATED WITH AMERICAN RED BALL IN MAY OF 2000" The BBB web site shows this company as AKA "American Red Ball" This is false and misleading information. An out and out lie. In part, I relied on the credibility of American Red Ball in making my decision to choose this company. I have been corresponding with Michael regarding my claim for items damaged by your movers on 12/19/00. My claim was filed on 1/22/01. It is now 7 months since the claim was filed. I am tired of getting the run around. Who can blame me?
You have stalled, put me off and misled me to the point where as a normally calm senior citizen, I collapse into tears whenever I try and resolve this matter. You have soiled, damaged and ruined some of my most prized possessions. One of the lamps broken by your very careful and competent movers cannot be repaired or replaced.
I paid for EXTRA INSURANCE and you still have the unmitigated gall to refuse to settle my laim. You should be ashamed of yourselves! What a surprise that your industry has the reputation that it does. No wonder the county had to pass a moving ordinance. You owe me $745 + the cost of cleaning my couches, a mica repair and a piece of mica that was taken by one of your employees as a sample. Please do not have the company contact me regarding this matter as all they do is try and manipulate me. All contact should take place through my daughter - Email User or this email address.
