RE: 2000 Fleetwood Enterprises Terry EX 32.5' camper - power supply cord burned during use - camper later burned to the ground

In May of 2000 my husband and I purchased a 2000 Terry EX made by Fleetwood Enterprises. From the first day it was delivered to our campsite we experienced electrical problems.

As a result the power supply cord burned completely into. Our dealer (Robert Handy Camping Center) told us you could not run the AC, microwave and an electrical appliance at the same time! We have owned four Fleetwood products and have never had a power cord to burn into! However, we have thrown several breakers.

On April 30, 2003 our camper burned to the ground after we finnished prepping it for the summer season. The only power source was the battery.

We have ask Fleetwood to send a representative to our home to determine if other owners of these campers could be having the same problem.

We most likely would have been in this camper sleeping, had it happened a few hours later. We want to make sure this doesen't happen to someone else.

Fleetwood has informed us they were denying our claim. It seems to us they don't care if it happens to someone else as long as they get their 30,000 dollars.

If anyother 2000 Terry EX owners read this complaint please get in touch with us. We would like to talk to anyone who owns these campers. We would not reccomend A Fleetwood product to anyone. They will not stand behind their product in our situation. If you can help us an anyway we would appreciate it so very much.
