My mother was charged $82 for a 13 hour phone call that did not disconnect at the tower. The call should have been approximately $4. This occured on September 23, 2003. I have made 3 phone calls and sent one email and was promised by the first customer service person that a credit would appear in 72 hours.

That all took place on october 11th. Subsequent calls were made on October 20th, 24th, and an email on 25th. Today is November 3rd and still no credit to the account nor can anyone at virgin mobile tell me when this will happen.

My mother is 77 years old and I also have one of these phones as I thought their customer service was top notch and that this was the best plan available for an emergency cell phone. Boy was I wrong. Customer service is horrible, in my experience, and it is not a good deal when they charge you $82 for time you did not use.
