I am writing to you to inform you of my experience with American Airlines. We flew out from Waco, Texas on Thursday November 20th on flight 3266. Upon arrival in Dallas, we changed planes and flew to Minneapolis on flight 1428. We were very impressed with your planes.
There was more leg room and the planes were very nice. We had seats in the front (5B, 5C) on the first plane and 13A, 13B on the second plane. These were our same seats on the return flights. Overall we were very pleased with the service and friendliness of the crew. It was our departure home where we had the problem. We arrived at the airport in the Minneapolis very early for our flight home because a snow storm had blown in. We had hoped for the best, but understood that there may be delays. Our flights were to be flight number 1731 from Minneapolis to Dallas and flight 3363 from Dallas to Waco.
We brought back wine (made in Minnesota, packed by the manufacturer) as Christmas gifts. We had been advised not to seal the box so that it could be inspected. Upon inspection, we wrapped each bottle in newspaper and cushioned the remainder of cardboard spaces with paper to minimize movement.
The container was marked WINE by Gary, the check in agent. This was checked (as advised by Gary since it was too big to be placed under the seat of the plane) along with 2 bags.
