MEINEKE CAR CARE CENTER/ BRAKE SERVICE

On or about 15 Nov 03, I entered a MEINEKE "car care center " in Alexandria VA. I heard my brakes squeaking, so I figured what better place to go, I took my 2001 Ford Escape in and asked the MEINEKE service team to check my brakes.

Ironically, a brake check is free, hoping I could get an estimate and budget my way down the list to complete any necessary work that needed to be done. The mechanic came out and told be the damage was $516.00 worth. He stated my car was in real bad shape and I needed new rotors, plus brake pads ASAP, he stated I also had to have a brake flush system done.

Me, like an idiot, believing him I went ahead and paid the money for the service. When I got into my vehicle, 21/2 hours later and after paying up a painful $516.00 I felt that my brakes should stop on a dime. However, I still felt no difference form 2
