Capitol One, a major financial institution has yet to honor, or even acknowledge, a repeated request I have made.

While I was unemployed for a year, I used their purchase checks to pay for my health insurance under COBRA. Massachusetts has a health plan program where they reimburse you up to $214 (it was $250.) per month towards paying your health insurance.

A CANCELED CHECK is required for proof of payment and to obtain reimbursement. I will say they did provide this for two checks (months) but not for the other requested 6 checks.

Over the past 8 months, I spent up to an hour, TWICE, on the phone with their customer service and was assured I would receive copies of my canceled purchase checks. I wrote TWO (yes 2) letters to their headquarters (and had proof of delivery).

To date, I have received NOTHING from them. This is over $1000. I could recover if I had copies of the canceled purchase checks posted to my VISA.

By the way, if you are a day late on your payment they jack up your finance rate to over 20%.
