RE: Direct Marketing Assn., Farmingdale, NY - unable to stop unwanted catalogs
This problem started on October 1, 2003. In September I started to received several catalogs every day and I returned them to the Post Office.
On October 1, 2003, I was receiving 6 to 8 catalogs each day from companies I nevered ordered from. I called each company and asked them to stop sending their catalogs.
They were very nice and gave me two address to write to, and I did. As of Noverber l2, 2003, I have received l77 catalogs (I have on hand).
I just got back from the hospital on November l9,2003, and had the catalogs from November l3th to November l9th returned.
I sent letters to the addresses listed below:
Unwanted Mail & Catalogs Direct Marketing Assn. Farmingdale, New York 11735 (letter dated Oct. 3, 2003).
I called them on November 5, 2003, and was told "WE DON'T STOP THEM, WE SEND THEM".
DMA Mail Preference Service P. O. Box 643 Carmel, New York 10502 (letter dated Oct. 7, 2003)
Your help would be appreciated in helping me to put a stop to this problem.
Thank you, Harold D. Neal
