RE: Household Finance - submitted (fraudulently) inaccurate information to the credit agencies
An unauthorized/unverified check for $5,000.28 was sent in the mail to the wrong name, wrong address but they used my social security number to ruin my credit. I explained to them in October that I did not receive or cash the check, my name had changed and the address was an address that I had never lived at. Even though they were told of their error they submitted (fraudulently) inaccurate information to the credit agencies. In a flash they were able to ruin my credit but as they say "it takes approximately 60 to 90 days from receipt of the correction for my credit file to be updated". I believe that Household Finance routinely shows little regard for the client. They are interested solely, in my opinion and experience, in making as much money as possible---the heck with the consumers rights.
